    About the Presentation:

Accurate OSHA recordkeeping is more than a compliance requirement, it’s a critical part of understanding and managing workplace safety. Mistakes in logging injuries and illnesses can lead to costly citations, skewed data, and missed opportunities for prevention. In this practical and informative presentation, safety expert Nicholas Coia will guide employers through the complexities of OSHA’s recordkeeping standards. Drawing on years of experience auditing and advising companies,

Nic will share the most common errors he sees on OSHA 300, 301, and 300A forms, and how to avoid them. Using real examples from the field, attendees will explore what makes an incident OSHA recordable, how to properly document it, and why accurate recordkeeping is essential to building a transparent, proactive safety culture. The session will conclude with dedicated time for questions and answers to ensure every attendee walks away with clarity and confidence.

At the conclusion of this session, participants will have a clear understanding of:

    • What Counts as an OSHA Recordable: Demystify OSHA’s definitions and get practical guidance on borderline cases.

    • Form Accuracy: Learn how to correctly complete the OSHA 300 Log, 301 Incident Report, and 300A Summary.

    • Why It Matters: Discover how accurate records improve safety decisions, protect your company from violations, and build trust.
